My wife and I recently returned from 2 weeks at the Cleopatra Palace, although we have been many times to Tenerife it was our first time at this hotel. We usually stay at Rui hotels and at first were pleasantly surprised with the splendid reception area and warm welcome we were greeted with the usual champagne at the check in, and later had a bottle and some fruit delivered to our room.
The room are spacious and adequate however be warn there is no iron or ironing board as stated on website however you can get one from reception but they seem to think you only require it for 5 minutes as they are soon knocking the door for it back.
Food wise breakfast was good with plenty to choose and they was a good choice with the evening meals if after 2 weeks a little repetitive, but there are plenty of good bars and restaurants locally to choice I would recommend the sunshine Chinese in the local side street. There is little or no entertainment in the hotel and drinks are very expensive so no one uses it but hey its Tenerife throw a stick you will hit a tribute artist and a cheap bar. The strip is a hive of bars I would recommend the George and Dragon for a lively and loud night.
Some other tips, gents it's long trousers, they will not stand for ¾ at night and for the ladies on Thursday nights half board customers are invited to the gala night on the Roman terrace. You can spot the returning guest who come pre prepared with evening wear and cocktail dresses.
Be prepared to bag your loungers by the Roman pool which is the quietest pool and if you want a lounger by the beach I suggest you send your towel about 2 months before as we never got one in 2 weeks.

What a beautiful hotel this was, the staff were very friendly and helpful the rooms were kept spotlessly clean every day. Lovely marble sweeping staircases, the beach was a step away from the main foyer.
Visited the Med Palace although the pastel blue colour doesn`t give it justice. Parque Santiago 3 shopping centre right next door and would highly recommend eating at the Restaurant Atlantico in the evening, the best steak Diane I have ever experienced. Across the road are more wonderful restaurants although book in advance for the Tepanyaki. Once you`ve eaten you can browse the delicious shops there. Then try the Las Piramides Bar where all the pretty people are, I promise you will be amazed, we were.
In all a delightfully smashing holiday and hotel and would highly recommend.Just one small minus was if you wanted to relax in your room there were no English channels apart from Sky News and you had to pay to watch a film. But it didn't take the shine of things.

We stayed 7 nights Bed and Breakfast at the Cleopatra Hotel. We booked hotel and flights separately. We initially decided on the Mediterranean Palace as it was such a good price, however it only worked out £140 (£70 each) more expensive for the week to go to the Cleopatra.
The hotel is newer than the Med Palace and bit better we think. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast was very good. The hotel location is just perfect with lots of places to eat nearby.
We would def recommend this hotel.
